Shannon likes to make things happen. She wants to connect people - and believes that her work enables her to accomplish all those things, all while promoting a more well world.
 
Shannon is a Program Manager with Health Branding within the Chickasaw Nation and works to promote and educate Chickasaw citizens, First Americans, and the general public about their health and wellness initiatives and programs.
 
In the past, Shannon has established social media campaigns for casinos, Native American tribes, state government agencies, non-profits, and national commercial enterprises. From 2011-2015, she served as Editor of the Oklahoma Motor Carrier magazine, tackling every aspect of the publication, from advertising sales, layout, and copywriting to photography.
 
Shannon has received numerous awards for her work with the Chickasaw Nation, including 2015 and 2016 Oklahoma City and 2017 AAF 10th District ADDYs, the 2017 Communicator Award, A 2022 Award of Excellence from the American Marketing Association, and two silver and one bronze 2023 Telly awards.
 
An avid music lover and musician, playing both viola and guitar, Shannon has published reviews and music features on various music blogs and, more notably, for the Oklahoma Gazette. She has also created album artwork for nationally-recognized musician John Calvin Abney.
 
She served on the WestFest Music Festival's music committee since 2015 and as Music Committee Co-Chair until 2017. In 2019, she began to co-chair the Music Committee for the annual Plaza District Festival in Oklahoma City.
 
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Central Oklahoma, a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Practice Management, and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma City University.
